Yesterday, I announced that I’d chosen the charity I’d be supporting for my running challenge of running 875 miles in 2010.
After much deliberation, I’ve chosen CLIC Sargent, the charity that cares for children with cancer.
In reality, this was one of the first charities that sprang to mind when I decided on the challenge as cancer is bad enough when it attacks an adult but the thought of it attacking a child is, to me, unthinkable.
My goal is to raise £500 for the charity which given the challenge will, hopefully, be achievable.
I’ve added a few new races to my itinerary:
– Royal Victoria Country Park 10K – 16 May
– Marwell Zoo 10K – 23 May
– Lordshill 10K – 20 June
and, if training goes well, the biggy for the year, the Gosport Half Marathon in November.
Would like to find an event for September so will keep an eye on Runners World Events.
