My plan for today’s run was to go out at lunchtime and cover 4 miles at a good pace (not too fast but certainly over my normal ‘slow’ pace).
However, I decided to hit the road early with a pre-8am start. Took an old familiar route and tried to keep up the pace as well as add a few fast sections into it. I had to make sure that I didn’t go out too fast too early and burn myself out but did struggle a little with the latter fast sections due to the overall pace increase.
Was pleased at the end of the workout to see that I’d bettered Monday’s record. In fact, my pace is increasing nicely as shown below from one of Runkeeper’s Fitness Reports:
