It’s Saturday and the weather’s due to be good so I plan to do a long run for me. When I say long run, I mean, for me it’ll be long. Planning to do 10K and hope to have a half-decent average pace. It’ll give me a good idea of how well I’ll cope with the Eastleigh 10K which is now only a fortnight away (I’ve mapped out the route).
In other news…
Looking forward to seeing the 2nd part of Eddie Izzard’s documentary about his multiple-marathons for Sport Relief. The first part was really inspirational to me and made me decide to step up my training as well as aim for longer distances.
Also, it’s looking very likely that I’ll hit my short term goal of weighing in at 13 1/2 stone on my 41st birthday (in a little over a week’s time). My long term goal is to weigh 12 1/2 stone and currently that doesn’t look too unattainable which is great. Really find it helpful to have both long term and short term goal.
Finally, I’ve decided that I’m going to run a half-marathon this year. Really not sure if it’s going to be an organised event or that I’ll simply hit the road and cover the distance one day, but it’s going to happen and the proof that I’ve done it will be my Runkeeper route.
